Lutheran High School Varsity Cheer just went to Nationals in Florida to compete against other cheer teams across the nation.
This is only the second time in LuHi history that the cheer team has reached nationals. Brooke Severns, a junior at Lutheran shared, “At the beginning of our season we competed to earn a bid and we were blessed to get a bid for both of our routines. Nationals was a great bonding experience and such a great way to leave everything out on the mat and show everything we’ve worked so hard for all season. We were able to make it into finals for both routines and also get 12th in the nation for both!” Hundreds of other cheer teams competed at nationals and LuHi cheer surpassed so many of them with their incredible routine that they’ve worked so hard on. A very inspirational thing that the team did each day was start off with a devotional. Senior Ella Guest said, “We did morning devotionals each morning that strengthened our faith and grew us all closer together preparing us for that day’s competition.”
LuHi cheer continues to grow in skill everyday and is constantly getting better. They are so blessed to have done so well at Nationals and are so excited to see what the team is going to accomplish in the future years to come.
