There’s a new deadly virus plaguing the students of Lutheran high. The disease goes by the name of Senioritis.
Senioritis tends to start spreading towards the second semester of every year. The majority of the victims are 17-18 year s old currently attending high school. It often disguises itself as laziness and exhaustion, making it hard for family and friends to spot early on.
There are three major stages of Senioritis, each becoming more severe than the previous. During stage one, victims generally experience increased tiredness and lack of interest in school. This stage is often ignored by adults and mentors, for it seems typical for a high school student. Once the senior starts to move towards stage two, their distress starts to become more outwardly expressed.
Stage two may consist of complaining about going to school or a decreased effort in appearance. This stage slowly starts to become more visible to the students’ peers. Stage three of Senioritis is often characterized as the “whatever” stage. This is surprisingly connected to a sense of calm for the victim. Most doctors come to the conclusion that Seniors simply don’t care anymore, the diagnosis coming much later on most occasions.
Doctors have not been able to find a cure for this deadly virus. But, there seems to be hope. After millions of dollars and years of research, scientists and doctors have found one single cure. This cure is known as graduation, a time where Seniors are given their diplomas and are released into the world.
As Senioritis continues to spread throughout the halls of high schools around the world, we can only hope that Seniors are able to make it to graduation in one piece. If you know someone who is suffering from Senioritis and you do not believe that they will make it to graduation, please seek help immediately. Doing so is of the utmost importance. This is a very serious matter as lives are at stake.
