At school change happens every day- in the halls, in the classroom, and sometimes within ourselves. Change can be uncomfortable, but that’s how we grow. Growing doesn’t always come easily, but change has to happen. It happens even when we don’t want it to- but what if we change our perspective – what if change could be good?
We can feel scared when thinking about change, like stepping into something unknown. In high school, we go through so many changes. We change classes, make new friends, lose old friends, and slowly become something more. Change asks us to let go of what we know. It feels uncomfortable but that feeling– that’s growth. In the moments when nothing feels stable, just keep calm; what you need will find you at the right time. Each new beginning starts with something ending, and that’s okay. Every day we learn how to adapt, how to trust and how to move forward. Change reminds us of the uncomfortable feeling we have, yet it can still be a good thing.
Let’s be honest: change is not simple. There are a bunch of twists and turns that we don’t fully trust. But maybe that’s the point. We are not supposed to know. That unknown feeling, that’s God working on a plan. He is shaping us to mold our potential. God is letting us grow. We can’t go through life with smooth turns but we can have faith and know that God is working in ways we can’t even imagine. So change is good because God is good.
